Graduating from the University of Zimbabwe in 1989, she became an American specialist in small animal internal medicine DACVIM (SAIM) in 2014 and obtained an MPhil in Infectious Diseases (2011), a PhD on canine gastrointestinal microbiota (2018) and a Diploma in Veterinary Education (2021) from the Royal Veterinary College. She mainly provides specialist consultations and supervises internal medicine residents and interns.
