Anaesthesiology

The Anesthesiology Department is a cross-disciplinary department that manages anesthesia for patients in the CVU's two divisions, namely the Companion Animal Division (including NAC) and the Equine Division, and occasionally in the Ruminant and Swine Division.

The Anesthesiology and Resuscitation Department is also responsible for teaching veterinary students, future specialists in the discipline and doctoral students. The department is also involved in continuing education for practicing veterinarians. As a university department, the team of anesthetists is actively involved in research projects designed to increase knowledge of basic and applied anesthesiology and analgesia.
