Let's get your pet breathing again.

There are many pathologies of the respiratory system, with a variety of symptoms (sneezing, nasal discharge, snoring, coughing, effort intolerance, difficulty breathing). While most of these conditions are easily treatable, they sometimes require advanced diagnostic (e.g. endoscopy) or therapeutic techniques.

ADC Respiratoire

To offer the best possible approach to your pet's problem, we always work closely with the services ofimaging, cardiology, surgery andoncology.

Services offered

Management of your pet's respiratory problems in close collaboration with your attending veterinarian.

Several complementary examinations can be offered, generally on the same day as the consultation or during a second appointment: blood analysis, radiography, scanner, respiratory endoscopy, biopsy, blood gases, echocardiography, walking test. All these examinations are carried out on site by specialists .

The following is a non-exhaustive list of respiratory diseases commonly treated in the department:

Rhinitis, nasal aspergillosis, nasal tumor, nasopharyngeal stenosis, brachycephalic syndrome, laryngeal paralysis, tracheal collapse, bronchitis, pneumonia, pulmonary fibrosis..

Non-exhaustive list of technical procedures commonly performed in the department:

Endoscopic biopsies, foreign body removal, laryngeal function assessment, endoscopic treatment of fungal rhinitis (removal of fungi and infusion of an anti-fungal solution), dilatation of nasopharyngeal stenosis, tracheal stenting, bronchoalveolar lavage ..

In some cases, when your pet can no longer obtain sufficient oxygen, its condition may become critical, requiring hospitalization in intensive care (oxygen, ventilation, close monitoring).

Aspergillose

Endoscopy of the sinus of a dog suffering from naso-sinusal aspergilloea (fungal rhino-sinusitis). The white carpet represents fungal elements.

Vers

Endoscopy of the bronchi of a dog with verminous bronchitis, showing the presence of a worm.

Collapsus trachéal

Stent2

Endoscopy of the trachea of a dog suffering from tracheal collapse (flattened trachea). Treatment consists of placing a metal stent in the trachea to reopen the trachea and allow air to pass through to the lungs (X-ray)

Practical information

Rhinolaryngo-pneumology appointments are scheduled every Monday, Wednesday and Thursday.

Since certain examinations can take a long time (e.g. endoscopy requiring general anaesthesia), we sometimes suggest that you leave your pet with us during the day, so as not to keep you waiting unnecessarily.
