Direct digital radiography AC
By passing an X-ray beam through the patient, it provides a 2D image of anatomical structures. The Medical Imaging Unit is equipped with 2 powerful direct digital X-ray machines for the acquisition of X-rays on pets (including rabbits, ferrets, rodents, reptiles and birds), such as :
- thorax, abdomen, head, spine and appendicular skeleton examinations
- special procedures with contrast to evaluate the urogenital (vaginography, ...) and digestive (esophageal marking, ...) systems, the spine (myelography, ...), soft tissues (fistulography)
- official X-rays for dysplasia screening in dogs/cats (Book an appointment)
Fluoroscopy is also available on one of the tables. Fluoroscopy is a radiography technique enabling real-time acquisition of dynamic images for :
- film acquisition to assess swallowing and the esophagus (esophagography, etc.), the respiratory system (tracheal collapse, etc.)
- interventional imaging (tracheal stenting, etc.)
