The ultrasound emitted and received by the ultrasound probe enables non-invasive evaluation of anatomical structures in real time. The imaging department is equipped with 2 ultrasound scanners, enabling pets (including rabbits, ferrets, rodents, reptiles, birds, etc.) to undergo

  • evaluation of the various organs of the abdomen, thorax and neck (including thyroids and parathyroids)
  • evaluation of the locomotor system
  • evaluation of superficial soft tissues to investigate wounds, masses and fistulas, and to detect foreign bodies
  • doppler examination for vascular examinations
  • ocular ultrasound
  • interventional ultrasound: abdomino- and thoracocentesis, arthrocenthesis, cytopunctions, biopsies, injections and ultrasound-guided brush smears
