Three-dimensional modality that allows the evaluation of the region to be investigated via the rapid acquisition of thin sections (cross-sectional imaging).

This technique is based on the attenuation of X-rays by the structures crossed, like radiography. It allows to obtain :

  • high resolution images with a high acquisition speed reducing the patient's anaesthesia time
  • characterisation and extension of lesions allowing a more precise surgical/medical opinion to be given
  • CT-guided cytopunctures, injections and biopsies
  • 3-dimensional reconstructions
  • examinations of the skull and neck, spine, thorax, abdomen, pelvis and limbs.
