Dr Marc Vandenheede, Dip ECAWBM (WSEL), PhD

He graduated as a veterinarian from the University of Liège in 1988 and obtained his PhD in Ethology in 1996 for research on fear reactions in sheep, carried out in collaboration with INRAe (France). This work was rewarded in 1997 by the "Prince Laurent Foundation for the well-being of domestic and wild animals". He has been a lecturer in "Veterinary Ethology and Animal Welfare" since 2007. Since 2012, he is recognised as a specialist in "Animal Welfare Science, Ethics and Law" by the European College of Animal Welfare and Behavioural Medicine (http://www.ecawbm.com/).
