Pharmacy
CVU Pharmacy aims to promote the effective, safe and economical use of medicines, and to improve the quality and safety of care.
The pharmacy carries out a variety of tasks:
- It delivers medicines exclusively to owners of animals admitted for consultation or hospitalized at the Companion Animal Clinic (CVU).
- It acquires, stores, dispenses, prepares, controls and invoices medicines.
- Compounding is carried out by a pharmacist for animals hospitalized at the CVU.
Pharmacy also plays a role in the training of 2nd and 3rd year veterinary students. In fact, the pharmacist takes part in the presentation of pharmacotherapeutic decision-making for students (module of Professor Cambier's pharmacology course).
