CT scanner AC
Three-dimensional modality that allows the evaluation of the region to be investigated via the rapid acquisition of thin sections (cross-sectional imaging).
This technique is based on the attenuation of X-rays by the structures crossed, like radiography. It allows to obtain :
- high resolution images with a high acquisition speed reducing the patient's anaesthesia time
- characterisation and extension of lesions allowing a more precise surgical/medical opinion to be given
- CT-guided cytopunctures, injections and biopsies
- 3-dimensional reconstructions
- examinations of the skull and neck, spine, thorax, abdomen, pelvis and limbs.
