Veterinary nurses play an important role in the CVU. In addition to assisting the clinicians in their daily work, they are involved in teaching the students the basic rules.

They are versatile and their tasks vary depending on the department they work for.

In emergency and intensive care, under the supervision of the clinicians, they participate in the care of the patient during hospitalisation but also in the management of the pharmacy and stocks as well as invoicing.

They also ensure the smooth running of the blood bank.

In surgery and anaesthesia, they provide technical, administrative and logistical management of the operating theatre.

In internal medicine, they assist with endoscopic examinations and chemotherapy sessions. Administrative and laboratory management are also part of their work.
